Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) ne 2026 ke shuruat me kai naye research aur development projects ko formally launch kiya hai, jisse desh ki defence capability aur scientific innovation dono me ek naya morh mil raha hai.
In projects ka mukhya focus advanced teknologi, indigenous manufacturing aur strategic edge ko aur majboot karna hai. DRDO ke officials ka kehna hai ki ye initiatives sirf defense sector tak simit nahi rahenge, balki civilian sector aur scientific community ko bhi fayda pahunchayenge.
Recent announcement ke mutabik, DRDO ne 148 naye R&D programmes ko sanction kiya hai. Inme se kuch key areas ye hain:
Advanced materials research: Lightweight aur high strength materials jo fighter jets, tanks aur naval systems me use honge.
Communication systems: Secure aur jam-resistant communication devices ki development.
Electronics aur sensors: Improved surveillance sensors jo battlefield visibility ko enhance karenge.
Unmanned systems: Aise autonomous platforms jo dangerous missions me human soldiers ki jagah kaam kar sakte hain
DRDO ke scientists aur engineers industry partners, academic institutions aur startups ke saath mil kar kaam kar rahe hain. Is collaboration ka maksad ye hai ki innovation ka process tez ho aur latest technologies ko jaldi se integrate kiya ja sake.
Sarkari sources ke anusar, ye initiatives India ke “Make in India” aur “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” goals ko bhi directly support karte hain. Defence experts kehte hain ki jab R&D activities aise structured aur transparent framework ke through chalti hain, to long-term strategic capability strong hoti hai — aur desh ki self-reliance badhti hai.
Ek senior scientist ne bataya, “Hamare R&D programmes ka aim sirf ek product banana nahi hai, balki ek ecosystem create karna hai jahan youth, scientists aur industry sath mil kar innovations kar sake.”
